BBC Ghost Stories For Christmas
Whistle And I'll Come To You (1968)
Lost Hearts (1973)
Q&A with author and folk-horror expert Howard David Ingham
In 1968, M R James' bone-chilling story Oh, Whistle And I'll Come To You, My Lad was adapted for the BBC's Omnibus series. Throughout the 70s and early 80s the BBC Ghost Story was a must-watch for millions of viewers every Christmas - terrifying tales of ancient spirits and dark forces.
To celebrate 50 years of BBC Ghost Stories we're screening two of the best episodes and will then be hosting a Q&A with Howard David Ingham, author of We Don't Go Back: A Watcher's Guide to Folk Horror. Howar will be signing copies of his book on the night.
