Metropolis
Dir. Fritz Lang | 1927 | 153 mins | Germany | Silent | PG | F-Rated

The first of our Silent Sunday screenings is an absolute classic. Inspiring generations of science-fiction film-makers with its futuristic designs. Screening in its most complete form, including the 'lost' footage found in Argentina in 2008.

In a futuristic city sharply divided between the working class and the city planners, the son of the city's mastermind falls in love with a working class prophet who predicts the coming of a savior to mediate their differences.
