We're thrilled to welcome Hitchcock experts Prof. Neil Badmington and Murray Pomerance back to Penarth Pier Pavilion for this special screening of Vertigo. The film will be introduced by Murray and then followed by a discussion/Q&A covering some key themes.
Murray Pomerance is an Independent Scholar living in Toronto. He is author of Cinema, If You Please: The Memory of Taste, the Taste of Memory (Edinburgh 2018), A Dream of Hitchcock (SUNY 2019), and Virtuoso: Film Performance and the Actor’s Magic (Bloomsbury 2019), among many other titles.
Neil Badmington is Professor of English Language at Cardiff University. His writing has been widely published, with a particular focus on the films of Alfred Hitchcock, postmodern culture, Roland Barthes and contemporary American writing.
This screening is supported by Cardiff University's School of English, Communication and Philosophy.
