The Sparks Brothers

Dir. Edgar Wright | 2021 | 140 mins | Colour / B&W | USA / UK | English | 15

As the poster says, Sparks are your favourite band's favourite band. Such is their artistic and aesthetic influence. It doesn't matter if you've been following the Mael brothers' career for the last 50 years, or you wouldn't know one of their songs if it bit you... this is a wonderful documentary about fascinating people who have beaten their own path for half a century. It's totally unmissable!

Why you should see it: because it's a lovingly created portrait of a truly unique band... and it's hilarious too
