A love letter to journalists set in an outpost of an American newspaper in a fictional twentieth century French city that brings to life a collection of stories published in "The French Dispatch Magazine".

We all know what to expect by now: a plethora of beautifully drawn characters, played by some of the world’s finest actors, an obsessive attention to detail, symmetry and wonderful soundtrack choices. For fans of Wes Anderson’s style, this is yet another delicious confectionary, but it’s also hilarious and emotionally varied.

Why you should see it: because once again, Anderson has brought a whimsical, detail-filled world to life
