The Harder They Come
Dir. Perry Henzell | 1972 | 103 mins | Colour | Jamaica | English | 15

We will continue to wear masks at the front desk and while ushering, and encourage you to do the same to protect others in the small cinema space.

We've been waiting for a restoration of this brilliant film since we first started putting films on six years ago - and now it's here! Lovingly restored by the BFI for its 50th birthday, here's the greatest Jamaican movie of all time. Wishing to become a successful Reggae singer, a young Jamaican man (Jimmy Cliff) finds himself tied to corrupt record producers and drug pushers. Don't miss the chance to see this at the cinema!

Why you should see it: because it's a great crime film with a 100% classic soundtrack

Tickets £8.50 / £6.50 (conc)

Please note: there's no need to print your tickets. We have a list of attendees on the door so you just need to give us your name when you arrive. Save the trees!

Doors open at 6:30pm

Film starts at 7pm

Snowcat Cinema does not screen adverts before the feature.  There are usually one or two trailers for films that will be shown soon but we encourage people to arrive promptly for the advertised start time.

Refunds will only be provided if the screening does not go ahead. Please see our COVID page for information about ticket swaps/refunds if you receive a positive test etc.
