Emily
Dir. Frances O'Connor | 2022 | 130 mins | Colour | UK / USA | English / French | 15 | Triple F-Rated

Emily imagines the transformative, exhilarating, and uplifting journey to womanhood of a rebel and a misfit, one of the world's most famous, enigmatic, and provocative writers who died too soon at the age of 30. Regular visitor to Penarth, Emma Mackey (Sex Education Death, On The Nile) plays the eponymous Brontë sister.

Why you should see it: because Mackey is wonderful as the literary icon who burned brightly
