2017 sees the 10th anniversary of Record Store Day. To celebrate we'll be screening the classic music-geek comedy, High Fidelity on Sunday April 23rd at Castle Emporium on Womanby Street.
John Cusack plays Rob, a record shop owner, music obsessive and list maker... When his girlfriend Laura dumps him, he compiles a list of his top 5 break-ups and tries to get to the bottom of why they happened. Based on the best-selling novel by Nick Hornby and with the ultimate indie soundtrack (from The Velvet Underground to Bill Callaghan, The Beta Band to Stereolab), High Fidelity is a warm, nostalgic ride - you can almost smell the dusty record sleeves.
The screening will start at 7:30pm but come down earlier to get a great coffee from Outpost... and buy some more vinyl too - you know you want to!
£8 in advance or on the door.
£6 concessions (proof required - students, over 60, disabled people)
