After his successes with Arrival and Bladerunner 2049, Denis Villeneuve took on an even bigger challenge, bringing Frank Herbert's space and spice masterpiece to the big screen. This film is like nothing you've ever seen or heard before - a treat for the senses.

March is Oscars month at Snowcat Cinema. Dune has been nominated in ten categories: motion picture, sound, visual effects, production design, original score (Hans Zimmer), editing, makeup and hairstyling, costume design, cinematography, and adapted screenplay.

Why you should see it: because Villeneuve's take on the notoriously difficult science fiction epic is a sight to behold
